Maplefern Kitchen Is
Clayton and Sally, the family behind it all, a small business right here in Western Australia. Our family story is a blend of Canadian maple (that's Clayton!) and New Zealand fern (Sally), and we've happily settled in WA to build our life and share our passions. I'm sure the three little ones will make an appearance also.
My main goal is to share my love for delicious flavors and spice with everyone, all while creating a family business where we can work together. we’re really looking forward to connecting with you.
What we're launching first is the result of years of experimenting and a deep passion from Chef Clayton Bellman. With 28 years of experience in commercial kitchens and a lifelong enthusiasm for all things food – from backyard barbecues to elegant dinners – I've developed a particular love for spice and the incredible flavors that come from fermenting foods.
My fascination with fermentation actually started with a quest to make a chicken wing hot sauce similar to the classic Frank's RedHot. After several years of recipe development, I realized that fermentation was the key to that missing flavor profile. Of course, I wanted to create something unique, so with a few special additions, and my own unique process, Sassy Sally's Red Hot was born.
It’s been quite a journey to finally bring these creations to market and share them with you. I'm so excited to take this leap and bring my passion to your table,
helping you elevate your next meal. We're starting at an approachable heat scale, focusing on exceptional flavor above all else. So, whether you're a seasoned spice enthusiast or just starting to explore the world of chilli, we
think you'll find something to love in our sauces.
